Hi, I’m Barbie

With over 15 years as a qualified Complementary Therapist, I began quite a few years ago when my children where babes in arms where sleep was a luxury and colic was a misery. My son stuggling to breathe with an Asthma attack. Childhood illnesses ie Chicken pox, no scratching allowed. Hormonal teenagers with their own opinions. Reflexology was nuturing, calming, valuable and beneficial on so many levels.

All grown up now with children of their own, they still come to me for Mums Magic and grandchildren too.

Over the intervening years I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge through a combination of study, training and life experiences including those of Cancer, mind struggles and loss.

I had always said that if I had to do a award winning speech I would dedicate it to my Mum. Having spent my childhood growing up in a land fraught with battles, where fear was an everyday emotion, my darling Mum taught me good values and respect . Her manta was simple but powerful, treat others how you wish to be treated. Be kind. Find your purpose for you and add some fun and a sense of humour.

My Mum saw beauty in so many things and her love of nature has become mine. I remember trying to make rose petals into perfume as a child and ending up with a dark smelly mess. My very first Aromatherapy experiment. I have improved since then and love the power of Aromareflex a fusion of Aromatherapy and Reflexology.

Sadly I lost my Mum, my best friend to cancer when I was 21 and lived with the impact that cancer can have on the loved one fighting the disease and the family trying to support and all needing support. I realised that as I journeyed through my life that I have shared experiences and challenges that have led me to becoming the Passionate and Compassionate Therapist I am today and why offering natural non-invasive therapies can make a positive difference.
